Mantrap Township Clerk
Township residency NOT required
Duties include: recordkeeping, recording of minutes, claims processing, payroll, election
administration, and other duties as required by law.
Hours: 10-20 hours/month (on average; dependent on experience/aptitude) for regular duties
(can be remote for most) plus attendance at meetings (approximately 16 per year)
Training: paid training opportunities available
Pay: $425/month, $80 per meeting, $25/hr for work outside of regular duties
Desirable traits/qualifications:
● Knowledge of computers and office software including word processing and
spreadsheets
● Ability to express oneself effectively in oral and written forms
● Possess competence in organizational skills (time management, deadlines, file systems,
etc.)
● Possess competence in attention to detail
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, Town
officials, and the public
● Willingness to learn
● Experience in judging or administering elections
