Assistant to the Administrator
Summary: This position serves as the primary assistant to the Administrator and provides advanced administrative support in all facets of the Administrator’s work such as compiling reports, organizing meetings, planning activities and distribution of public information.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains residential and business database
- Coordinates the preparation, production and distribution of the Township’s newsletters
- Issues press releases and creates news content for the Township’s website and Facebook page
- Serves as secretary to the Zoning boards
- Serves as webmaster
- Administers Township’s recycling programs
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in an applicable field of study
- Work experience in public administration and/or in a wide variety of government service areas and communications
- Experience in supporting administrative boards such as Board of Zoning Appeals
- Excellent writing, editing and organizational skills with attention to details
- Advanced computer skills including solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and website maintenance
Hours and compensation:
- 8am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
- DOQ
