Box Office Customer Service Representative (Part-time)
The Kravis Center is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Box Office Customer Service Representatives to join our team. You will handle ticket sales, assist with inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for all visitors. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the selling of tickets for all Kravis Center ticketed events through various channels, including in-person, phone, and online platforms.
- Process payments and handle cash/credit card/check transactions accurately.
- Assist patrons with inquiries about events, ticket availability, seating options, and venue information.
- Resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide information about upcoming events.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues related to ticketing or event.
- Escalate complex issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Ensure that all daily transactions, including ticket sales, gift certificates, checks and cash, balance out at the end of the day.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Two (2) years of previous experience in customer service for a live entertainment venue or in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Experience handling cash/credit card or check transactions and working with box office ticketing systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle high-stress situations with a calm and professional approach while always maintaining a positive attitude a must.
- Ability to quickly learn database systems i.e. experience with Tessitura a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 Suite preferred.
- Able to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
